We are a family owned company realized from the concept that a home is more than a dwelling; it is where life is fully lived! If a home is built to the highest standards, it remains timeless.

This company was created by Chris Mriscin, an Asheville resident and entrepreneur, who imagined an efficient and exceptional quality, method, and craftsmanship of new construction brought to his beloved community. He devised a plan with his father to create a company that designed and constructed homes with modern technology and environmentally conscious building methods in a style and standard that remained ageless. Len Mriscin recognized the inspiration and value of such an endeavor and Wanoca Builders was born!

They enlisted the expertise of general contractor, Mike Sokol, from Wisconsin. Mike is a long-time family friend and builder of luxury timber homes for the last 50 years. He began building at the age of 14 and his passion for creativity, quality, and style made him one of the Mid-West’s premier custom home builders. He was highlighted in Timber Frame Magazine and presented at numerous home shows across the nation. He has a unique flair for dramatic presentation and a passion for custom woodworking. We are proud to bring his skill and artisanry to our community.

Our team also includes an in-house architectural designer, two interior designers, and a sales agent; all here to assist you in every aspect of the design and building process from start to finish.
